Welcome to the Outdoor Playhouses page, all kids love somewhere private
to play and a playhouse in the garden is an ideal place for these kids to
play.
There are two main types of outdoor playhouse; the small playhouses that
are easy to move around and the large playhouses that are permanently fixed
wherever you erect them. They are both lots of fun for the kids but you have
to think about what is best for your garden, the large playhouses are very
impressive and the castle like play area that the kids have dreamt of but
you have to have room in your garden for them and they are also quite expensive.
The large outdoor playhouses are quite like sheds but styled with children
in mind and so look very nice and have windows and a nice door for the children
to use and also to provide a good amount of light. There are some that are
elevated which your children will absolutely love as they provide the perfect
den/tree house/castle that they could ever want in the garden, they often
have a slide or rope ladder and offer lots of fun.
They are almost always
wooden and so you will have to treat the wood every now and again and you
should also clean the inside regularly as cobwebs and dust do not make for
a pleasant play area.
These large playhouses can also come in very useful
for storage in the colder weather as the children will not be using it and
you can then store all manner of items over the winter.
The small playhouses are mostly plastic and are excellent for younger children
who do not need a large playhouse. These small playhouses often use popular
themes that kids love and they also often have accessories that tie in with
that theme, for example some have a kitchen theme and so have pots and pans
along with a serving window.
