Welcome to the Trikes page, a trike is a small bike like toy with three
wheels and is suitable for toddlers and young children.
Trikes are usually very colourful and they often feature popular kids characters
such as Bob The Builder, Barbie, Dora The Explorer and many others. A trike
also often has a compartment on the back in which kids can keep toys and
other items and so where ever they go on their trike they can always take
their favourite toys with them.
Trikes have a single wheel at the front and two at the back with the single
wheel doing the steering with the handle bars. There is also often a large
parent handle at the back so that an adult can hold onto the trike and ensure
that the child does not go too fast or get into any trouble. They are also
very sturdy and so will cope with anything that children throw at them, the
tyres are not usually inflatable and so cannot get punctured and the frame
is usually made from very tough plastic.
